Responsibilities: Product UI/UX

School Project

Project Overview:

designing an operational dashboard for the HR department of Microsoft. creating a comprehensive tool to enable management to gain insights into the HR landscape, while providing recruiters with a daily operational tool to streamline and track their recruitment activities. In this case study, I will provide insights into my thought process, the methods and tools I used, and explain my reasoning and thoughts behind the decisions I made.

my role in this project:

The challenge:

The HR department at Microsoft faces challenges in tracking, analyzing, and interpreting a large volume of data. Managing and monitoring the recruitment process is particularly difficult due to numerous open positions, making it hard to track candidates, interview schedules, and overall progress. Additionally, management needs an overview of the HR situation for informed decision-making and addressing workforce needs.

The goal:

characterize and design an operational dashboard that addresses the challenges faced by HR recruiters and provides management with a comprehensive overview. By doing so, I aimed to enhance the efficiency, transparency and effectiveness of the recruitment process.

Design Process:

By following this design process, I aimed to create an operational dashboard for the HR department at Microsoft that is intuitive, efficient, and aligned with user needs.

Preliminary Research:

In my preliminary research I aimed to understand on the one hand the responsibilities of the HR recruiter and the challenges an HR department faces, and on the other hand what HR management systems are available in the market and what are the solutions they offer.

Market Research:

In market research, I aimed to understand HR management systems, identify features and trends, evaluate user needs, assess competitor solutions, uncover gaps for improvement, gather user insights, and identify opportunities for new solutions.

Based on the market research conducted several key conclusions can be drawn:
